Export before you delete (recommended)
All users can export a JSON backup in the app: Settings → Data → Export data. You can also email support@veltza.app for a data copy within 30 days.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the Veltza app on your phone.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Data & privacy.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Deletion starts immediately. You will be signed out and your account data is removed from our active systems, except where we must keep limited records as described below.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your Veltza account:
Include:
- Subject line: Delete my Veltza account
- The email address you used to sign up
- Optional: your display name to help us locate the account
We will confirm and process your request within 30 days (usually sooner).
What we delete
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove personal data tied to your account, including:
- Profile, email, and authentication data
- Workout, nutrition, hydration, and streak history
- Coach conversation history, AI memory summaries, and coach usage records
- Health sync snapshots and stored health data
- Progress photos, avatars, community posts you authored, likes, and social graph data
- Personal records, rank data, achievements, and referral links on our servers
- Notification tokens and in-app preferences
- Files in storage buckets tied to your user ID (avatars, progress photos, community images)
- Subscription link on our servers (RevenueCat user association is cleared on our side)
Community posts and profile data you created are removed through database cascade when your account is deleted — they will no longer be visible to other users.
What we may retain
- Minimal logs required for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics in PostHog that can no longer reasonably identify you; contact us to request additional analytics erasure
- Records we are required to keep by law (e.g. tax or payment audit trails held by Apple or Google)
- Limited backup copies for a short rolling period, then purged
App Store & Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your Veltza account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel billing in your device settings:
- iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Veltza Pro → Cancel
- Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Veltza Pro → Cancel
